Yoga Retreats

Immerse yourself in the basics of yoga. Ideal for those new to yoga or those who wish to make sure they are well aligned in their asana and pranayama practice, this course is a step-by-step complete introduction to the basics of yoga.

The course offers extensive guided practice as well as theory studies and follows the five points of yoga created by Swami Vishnudevananda for health and inner peace:

• Proper Exercise – Yoga asana
• Proper Breathing - Pranayama
• Proper Relaxation - Savasana
• Proper Diet - Vegatarianism
• Positive Thinking and Meditation – Vedanta & Dhyana

The Yoga Retreats are open to all levels of yoga aspirants who wish to deepen their knowledge and application of some of the teachings of yoga. Participants do not need to be a yoga teacher. Those who are completely new to Yoga need to arrive on 1st or 3rd Sunday of the month, when the teachings are given as beginners.
Aspirants of advanced levels are very welcome to attend the advanced hatha yoga classes provided at the same time, as part of the course.
Families with children are always welcome at the Yoga Retreats, in this case parents are expected to provide supervision for their children
Minimum number of stay required is Two weeks - to attend the full course.
If one is interested to stay in the ashram for more than Two weeks, please enquire the possibility / availability of space.

Yoga Retreats are conducted only at the location in Kodakkad, Kasaragod Dist, Kerala from Oct 1 2017 onwards.

Ayurveda massages and Panchakarma Rejuvenation Programs

Ayurvedic massages and rejuvenation programs are offered at the ashram location. Yoga Retreat participants will be able to use this service if they wish.

If you are a complete beginner in yoga practice the arrival day is 1st or 3rd Sunday of any month, departure day is the Saturday at the end of the 2 weeks duration, Those who like to arrive or depart on different days may check the availability and get the rooms booked accordingly.

Donation per person per day
- Rs 2500 ( in single accommodation ) - Rs 1500 ( in shared double room ) - Rs 900 ( in Dormitory of 10 people )

Donation mentioned here are for a person per day for non-Indian or non resident Indian nationals. The course donation includes tuition as per the daily schedule shown below, food and accommodation and use of ashram facilities.

Casual comfortable clothes, yoga mat, meditation shawl, toiletries, notebooks, pens, slip-on sandals, Warm clothing for very cool nights & cool mornings/evenings and clothes for warm days, rainwear, flashlight, insect repellent, alarm clock, travel mug / tumbler, water bottle, sunscreen...etc

Please download the application form, print it, fill all the required information, scan it and then send the completed application form to . Once the filled up application form is received and accepted the applicants will be informed of how to proceed further in the registration process.

Please note:

The balance of the course donation should be remitted on the day of joining. Course donations are non-refundable, however any unused amount may be transferred, minus an administration fee, to another course within one year of the original course starting date. Or a credit note may be issued minus the administration fee. Credit notes are valid for one year from date of issue and can be used for any other courses/ programs or for anybody recommended by the depositor and also for boutique items or any other supplementary services.

General Information

Please read course details as well as the course location information carefully before making a decision to register.
Admission to any course is on first come first serve basis.
All the courses are taught in English, there is currently no translation facility available into any other language. Students should plan to arrive at least one day prior to the beginning of the course ( arrival time is Sunday after 3 pm ) and depart at least one day after its completion ( departure time is next Sunday latest by 11 am )

For all programs, guests are subject to the suggested donation in effect at the time of final payment.
To maintain the spiritual atmosphere we ask all ashram guests to comply with the ashram rules.
